I've always been interested in health and well-being. Feeling so much better after a massage, a run or a yoga practice. I was intrigued by how the body and mind responded so well to these activities and began to learn more.

I've been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and during this time I started going for regular massages, not just for relaxation, but as a form of physical and emotional therapy. I was fascinated by the effects on my overall well-being. I went on to study Yoga more deeply, became attuned to Reiki, and also became professionally trained in Remedial Massage at the Northern Institute of Massage in 2011.

I've continued to train regularly and have also qualified in Advanced Sports Massage,

Manual Lymphatic Drainage,

Indian Head Massage,

NO HANDS Massage - Advanced Practitioner,

Natural Lift Facial Massage,

Health and Wellness Consulting,

Emotional Freedom Techniques,

Hot Stones Massage

Myofascial Dry Cupping

and most recently a Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Recovery Treatment Program (Manual Lymphatic Drainage).

I believe that we all face our own unique stresses and tensions that play out in our lives and impact on our bodies and our well-being. These may come from our work, sports, interests, and lifestyle choices and they can have both positive and negative effects on our health. Massage therapy seeks to remove tension and bring balance back into our bodies and aid the body's own healing processes so that we can function as best as we can.

Most of the treatments that I give now are an amalgamation of the various techniques that I have trained in over the years, and each treatment will vary depending on the client's needs. I believe in adopting a holistic systemic approach for tackling stress, anxiety, insomnia and muscle tensions and aches and pains.

My latest training course, in further MLD techniques for clients post-surgery, was in response to the increased client demand for this treatment as I am always keen to offer the very best of treatments. I am also undertaking further training in MLD for Lymphoedema later in 2023.

I am a member of the CNHC - the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council.
