Coronavirus Update - January 2022

Please be assured that our absolute priority is the health and safety of our patients, their families and the wider community.  VB Health has thorough infection prevention and control protocols in place in line with government guidance and has just been awarded Care Quality Commission (CQC) status.

I have been fully vaccinated since 23rd April 2021 and had my booster in November 2021.  I also take a lateral flow test each day prior to working.

As per the latest government and industry guidance, the following processes and procedures remain in place to provide as safe an environment as possible.

If you have any of the symptoms of coronavirus, you must let me know as soon as possible and you must not attend your appointment. You should follow the current government guidelines around self-isolation.  Your appointment will be rescheduled to a later date and you will not be charged any cancellation fee.

Please carefully read through this information and get in contact if there is anything you're unsure of or would like to discuss.

What to expect*

Once you have made a booking I will email you all the information you will need, and this will include:

  • A COVID-19 Screening and Consent Form This will need to be completed and emailed back before we can arrange an appointment time.  This will determine if it is safe for you to attend the clinic, if you need to get consent from your GP or medical provider prior to your appointment and to determine if extra PPE is advised.

  • An online consultation form I'm using this as an opportunity to update all my records to ensure I have the latest medical information for each client.

  • Details of the cost and how to pay for your treatment by balance transfer. If you would rather pay by cash, please bring the exact amount on the day.

Before leaving home on the day of your appointment

We kindly ask that you visit the clinic alone. If you do need someone to accompany you into the building and/or treatment room please ensure that they have completed a Screening Form as well.

Please only bring essential items with you.

On arrival

Please arrive at the clinic at your appointment time.

On entering the clinic

Please wear a face covering, and as a further precautionary measure, I will take your temperature to ensure that you do not have a fever.  If your temperature is raised, we will need to rearrange your appointment for another time for the safety of those within the clinic.

If your temperature is within normal limits, you will be asked to sanitise your hands.

If you have the NHS Covid 19 app will we ask that you scan our VB Health QR code for track and trace. We will also ask you to sign a declaration that nothing has changed symptom-wise since you completed your COVID screening form.

Clients to continue to wear their mask during any consultation and throughout treatment, unless they are face down on the treatment table or the mask needs to be removed for the treatment.

As we will be unable to maintain the recommended social distancing to carry out the treatment, I will be wearing the full recommended PPE -  a face mask and an apron and gloves if the client wishes me to.

In the treatment room

The treatment rooms will have been thoroughly ventilated, cleaned and disinfected before your arrival.  Please keep personal items to a minimum by only bringing with you what is essential (eg remove any jewelry before your visit, don't bring a coat if it's warm, keep layers to a minimum).

If you wish the window can be opened to increase ventilation.

On completion of your treatment

You will be asked to carefully sit up to get dressed and collect your belongings.  I will leave the room for you to do so and will wait outside the door to open it for you when you are ready to leave. Please put your mask back on if it has been removed during treatment.

As you leave the clinic you will be asked to sanitise your hands once more.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't worry and do get in touch and I will do my very best to help.

 * PLEASE NOTE this information is subject to change as we follow the latest government and industry guidance.
