Coronavirus Update - 11 July 2020

I'm delighted to announce that I am now able to return to work and I can start taking bookings for treatments once again.

Following the latest government and industry guidance, many changes have been made to provide as safe an environment as possible.

If you have any of the symptoms of coronavirus, you must let me know as soon as possible and you must not attend your appointment. You should follow the current government guidelines around self-isolation.  Your appointment will be rescheduled to a later date and you will not be charged any cancellation fee.

Please carefully read through this information and get in contact if there is anything you're unsure of or would like to discuss.

What to expect going forward*

First of all you need to Request an Appointment.

I will then email you all the information you will need, and this will include:

  • A COVID-19 Screening and Consent Form This will need to be completed and emailed back before we can arrange an appointment time.  This will determine if it is safe for you to attend the clinic, if you need to get consent from your GP or medical provider prior to your appointment and to determine if extra PPE is advised.

  • An online consultation form I'm using this as an opportunity to update all my records to ensure I have the latest medical information for each client.

  • A reminder of this information about what to expect on the day

  • Details of the cost and how to pay for your treatment by balance transfer. If you would rather pay by cash, please bring the exact amount on the day in an envelope.

Virtual Consultation

So that we can maximise the time allowed for your treatment, we need to reduce both our contact time and talking time together. All clients will be required to have a virtual consult prior to their first appointment. This will be confidential and we will run through your reasons for requiring a treatment and to discuss any concerns that you might have.

Before leaving home on the day of your appointment

Please ensure that you have visited the bathroom and that you are well hydrated as, in line with government guidance, these facilities may be closed.

You may bring your own water bottle with you.

If you are a key worker we ask that shower and change your clothes prior to your appointment - please do not come straight from work.

We kindly ask that you visit the clinic alone. If you do need someone to accompany you into the building and / or treatment room please ensure that they have completed a Screening Form as well.

Please only bring essential items with you.

On arrival

The doors to the clinic will be locked. Please text me on 07507 548814 to let me know that you have arrived and then wait in your car, or safely outside, until I come to collect you.

On entering the clinic

Please wear a face covering, and as a further precautionary measure I will take your temperature to ensure that you do not have a fever.  If your temperature is raised, we will need to rearrange your appointment for another time for the safety of those within the clinic.

If your temperature is within normal limits, you will be asked to sanitise your hands. If you are classified as vulnerable, you will be offered the relevant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) .

Any reception staff will be behind a Perspex screen and we will only be allowing one client in the reception area at any one time.

As we will be unable to maintain the recommended social distancing and your face covering may need to be removed during the treatment, I will be wearing a face visor, and a face mask if this is deemed necessary.

In the treatment room

The treatment rooms will have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival.  There will be a box for all your belongings such as coat, shoes, bag, phone etc and for any items that you may need to remove for your treatment. Please keep these to a minimum by only bringing with you what is essential (eg remove any jewelry before your visit, don't bring a coat if its warm, keep layers to a minimum).

Wearing a face covering during treatment is optional unless you are classified as a vulnerable client.

We are advised to keep talking to a minimum and, initially, treatment times will be 30 minutes.

On completion of your treatment

You will be asked to replace your face covering if it has been removed, sanitise your hands and collect your belongings.

If you have worn any PPE you will be asked to dispose of it in the bin provided and to sanitise your hands once more before leaving the clinic.

I will send you an email containing after care advice after your treatment and details of how to request and book a follow-up appointment.

I do understand that this may seem a little overwhelming or confusing but please, rest assured, I will carefully guide you through all the new procedures on the day.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't worry and do get in touch and I will do my very best to help.

 * PLEASE NOTE this information is subject to change as we follow the latest government and industry guidance.
