Remedial and Sports Massage
Remedial and sports massage aims to remedy specific problem areas and is not carried out in a particular sequence but in accordance with your needs.
Rehabilitation advice is also given to help improve recovery. I'm a great believer in taking responsibility for our own well-being and the huge health benefits that can be made by making small changes to our lifestyles.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Before your first appointment, you will be emailed a confidential new patient questionnaire to complete, which will ask you about your lifestyle, any existing medical conditions as well as your medical history, and the reason why you require treatment.
This information combined with a discussion will help determine specific problem areas so that a relevant treatment plan can be discussed and appropriate rehabilitation advice given.
How long will I require treatment?
That's dependent on you and the condition. A recommended treatment plan will be discussed at the initial consultation.
Many clients continue with monthly 'maintenance' treatments which can help prevent problems from recurring or new ones from happening. Regular massage helps keep the muscles toned and relaxed, dealing with any little tensions in the body before they can create any major problems... prevention being better than cure.
