Dermalux Compact Lite and Flex 

I am delighted to be able to introduce and offer to clients a new treatment - LED Light Therapy, a form of photobiomodulation.

The Dermalux Compact Lite and Flex work by emitting either Red (633NM), Blue (415NM) and/or Near Infrared (830NM) light onto the skin which penetrates and stimulates the cells beneath. Our cells can absorb the light and use it to fuel a range of biological processes within the skin and tissues. Skin cells that are energised by LED phototherapy function better and can renew faster to promote healthy and radiant skin, as well as speeding up the healing, process and promoting pain relief.

Blue Light 415nm

Key Mechanism - Anti-bacterial

Blemish fighting blue light destroys the bacteria which causes spots and helps in the prevention of breakouts. Blue light is absorbed by p.acnes bacteria and triggers a natural photchemical reaction releasing singlet oxygen. Singlet oxygen has a powerful antibacteria l action to help eliminate spots whilst being gentle on the skin. It also helps to balance poil production and improve skin clarity.

Red Light 633nm

Key Mechanism - Rejuvenation and cell renewal

Rejuvenating red light accelerates cell renewal and repair, boosting collagen and elastin synthesis for smoother firmer skin.

Red light is absorbed in the cell mirochondria and stimulates the synthesis of Adenosine Triphosate (ATP), an essential energy for cellular function. Supercharging our cells triggers a cascade of beneficial biological reactions. Skin and tissues cells that are energised function better and can regenerate up to 200% faster.

Red light is potently absorbed by fibroblasts increasing collagen and elastin synthesis and boosting hydration levels. Improved blood flow brings increased tissue oxygenation to accelerate repair whilst stimulation of the lymphatic system helps with detoxification.

Near Infrared Light (NIR) 830nm

For optimal results, it is recommended to have a course of 12 sessions in close succession to effectively target a specific issue, followed by monthly maintenance sessions. However, a single session can invigorate skin and tissue cells, breathing life into tired and fatigued skin.

Contraindications to Dermalux LED Phototherapy

Pregnancy/lupus erythematosus/photosensitive eczema/albinism/active cancers.

Any photosensitive disorders/any sensitisation to light such as light-induced headaches/eye disease.

Any medication that can cause photosensitivity, this can include certain antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs and diuretics. Please check your medication carefully prior to booking.
